Hotel Indigo Dowtown Fort Myers River District

We had our 2nd Fort Myers photo shoot at Hotel Indigo Downtown Fort Myers River District this past weekend. It was a 3 day event… we had a blast. Friday night we arrived and started shooting the rooms almost immediately, we woke up on Saturday and shot a little in the morning then walked around downtown Ft Myers. Around noon we stopped in for a bite at Vino De notte (now that is a nice place to eat at). We went up stairs to take a break and a dip the refreshing pool. Also we had to get some ideas of where to shoot the models on Sunday. Later on Saturday we started shooting the rooms again, after the shoot was over we headed back to Vino De notte for a sugar treat. We were greeted by “Willy” one of the most genuine persons that I have ever met, I could have sat and talked with him for hours. We held converstations about Downtown Fort Myers living, Fishing in the area and also about those blue Martin birds down there (to be discussed later).

Fonts, Fonts, Fonts…. They are everywhere.

One of the best things about being a web Designer and a graphic Designer is you notice fonts every where you go. ”Hey look that is Helvetica Light, look over there they used impact” It is kind of annoying when you see the same font over and over again. Take Papyrus for example, in my opinion it is one of the most overly used fonts out there. Maybe because I live in Florida but everyone who wants a beach theme for a Web design or any print design they want to us to use Papyrus.. UGH… I’m sick of that font!

Sorry I just had to vent.

New Lighting…

I’m thinking about buying some new lights for photo shoots, so I do not have to rely on the weather everytime. I think I am missing out on some wonderful rainy clouds as backdrops. I’m thinking abou the Lowel-id kit but haven’t really made up my mind yet. Fort Myers wedding Photography would be a whole lot easier with a light or two.

Last night we started working on the new flyers for Hotel Indigo, Girls weekend Flyer, Guys Weekend Flyers, Couples Weekend Flyers and a 4th of July Flyer. Hotel Indigo is Located in the Downtown Ft Myers Historic District. Once the flyers get approved we will be sure to post them.
